Optometrist
Education:
Growing up with nearsightedness, I experienced firsthand the challenges of blurry vision and the incredible impact of quality eye care. This personal journey inspires my warm, comprehensive, yet simplified approach at Slabtown Eye Care.
Before becoming an optometrist, I worked as an optometric assistant, optician, and lab technician, giving me firsthand experience with every aspect of the patient journey — from scheduling and frame styling to lens fabrication and clinical care. I’ve seen what great care looks like at every step, and I’ve built this practice to reflect that standard.
At Slabtown Eye Care, I combine years of hands-on expertise with a streamlined, tech-forward philosophy to deliver care that’s as efficient as it is thoughtful. I’m here to make optometry more approachable and meaningful, so you can enjoy clear vision, confidence, and long-term eye health. I look forward to being part of your care journey.

Optician
Meet Erica, our optician and a seasoned pro with over a decade in the optical world. A proud Pacific Northwest native and Oregon alum, she brings deep experience in patient care, billing, and clinical support.
Outside the office, Erica is a devoted wife and mom of two. You’ll often find her helping at her family’s restaurant, exploring local parks, or spending time with her church community.
We’re so grateful for the positivity and care she brings to every patient experience—your visit is always in great hands with Erica.

Optometric Assistant
Meet Katie, our optometric assistant with a deep interest in the art and craft of opticianry. With four years of optical experience, she brings both skill and genuine care to our team and loves working in a smaller, more personal practice. She especially enjoys the interpersonal side of opticianry and the thoughtful details that make this field so unique.
Outside of work, Katie leans into all things creative and nostalgic. She’s an avid antique collector and lifelong maker—often found crocheting, exploring vintage shops, strumming her guitar, or unwinding with a little reality TV.
Be sure to say hi next time you’re in!
